Drink Up Buttercup

So there’s this Philly-area band called Drink Up Buttercup. And they have that Beatles-ish sound that makes all the quirky indie rock band sound oh so trendy. So of course I love it. Honestly, they’re quite charming.

Philebrity posted a video of them performing backstage for their new series ironically titled Backstage. (It’s like TakeAwayShows only not.) Foot stomping, maraca shaking, one of those blow-into keyboard doodads, tambourine, rusty improvised harmonies… what’s not to love?

Unfortunately, I can’t find a good-quality recording of them anywhere. I’ll keep looking, and I’ll let you know when I do. Aha! Oh gosh. Listen to Gods and Gentlemen. I love them even more now.
